This thread is desinged to get bands that you feel are not getting enough attention or are relativly underground. I encourage other members to make threads like these for other genres, for metal is kinda my thing so I kinda know a little more on it than say blues or rap.

Post the band name, any album covers, videos, wiki, lyrics, documents or anything general. I'll begin with a couple of bands that no one has heard of around where I live.

And no flaming if someone posts something that everyone may have heard of.

Arch Enemy- A swedish death metal band with a girl (Angela Grossow) as lead singer. And a damn good one I may add! People get turned off by a girl singer like that, but I think it's pretty badass! Also Michel Amott is a pretty legendary guitarist being that he came from Carcass and Carnage.

This is one of my personal favorites, We Will Rise from this album (Anthems of Rebellion):

If ya wanna know more, read this-

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Arch_Enemy

Scar Symmetry another swedish (I think) death metal band. The lead singer is a pretty good death metal vocalist, and has awesome clean vocals. The only problem with them is that their solos are a little off.

Here's an AMV with one of their songs where the clean vocals are dominant. (Sorry, couldn't find any normal ones)

My favorite album thus far (Pitch Black Progress):

And here's the wiki on them:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scar_Symmetry

Hypocrisy- A rather different death metal band that talks about aliens and abuctions rather than death and torture. They are amzingly heavy and intense in my opinion.

The vid itself isn't that impressive, but the song gets me pumped.

Here's the current album I'm into (Virus) And yes thats where my sig came from  Tongue-

And once more here's the wiki:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hypocrisy_%28band%29

I'll post some more in the future, but lets here from you!  Wink

Hmm. I know all those bands you posted. Some are really known. One unknown band I will mention would be At Daggers Drawn. Check em out here:

Sweet post. I'm likin thier ****.

Yeah, like I said I'm trying to get bands out in the open. Unforunatly, I'm just kinda goin by what my friends know. All of the bands I've listed know one has heard of where I live.

How about Arcturus? It's a black metal band with dominant clean vocals. I got into them about a week ago so all I can offer is the wiki cause I can't find an offical website:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Arcturus_%28band%29

I'm gonna change it up a little though. You can also post news on your favorite bands and maybe little known facts about them. Like
"Hey, did you you know that Dead from Meyhem blew his head off with a shotgun and the band members made a neck out of his skull fragments?"

Also, this is NOT a competition of who knows about the most bands. Its simply trying to discover stuff thats new to you.

Obscure bands?

Im not sure how obscure they are, but 3 inches of blood is pretty sweet (despite the name, they are more powermetal than anything)

Another is The Showdown

unbelievably, they are supposedly a christian metal band

yup, I discovered them both at Ozzfest

Yeah, I've heard of 3 Inches of Blood. They're pretty good.

Here's one I'm sort of into, they're called Moonspell:

Me thinks they're black metal.

Hmm...the singer sounds (remotely) like Mr. Lordi, at least in the beginning
