Is there Racism in anime? Take, for example, Bleach.
The Bad guys all use Spanish as their release, the hollow homeland is called Los Noches. Look at Chad even, the only Spanish character in the cast. He has the arm of the Devil. Doesn't that seem odd?

Then there's also also black people. Look at Shaman king. Full use of the blackface theater technique (which is meant to be offensive and to make all the stereotypes about Black faces true; google it). Then he is a loudmouth, and has a jaguar for his spirit. Coincidence, I think not.

Am I the only one who sees this? Not that I'm racist (and I'm appalled that it could still exist), but really. So, are there other's that see this, and are there other shows that have it? Or am I crazy.

And... discuss.

It's just sad how you see it happen.

Other ones subtitly use it.

You just now pointed out the Bleach things to me myself.

I'd say alot of it comes from basicly the people making the anime/manga without knowing the values somethings they do holds or not knowing the race itself.

Same can be said for most westerner's in animes.

They have they're fair share of sterotypes as well in general.

I've seen no racism in Bleach or in any other anime.

I do see it know in your perspective, but I don't think the authors of the series meant it to be racist.
